Photos and video are up from my performance at TEDxBoston, the local and independently organized series of talks featuring some amazing local innovators. I performed “POP!goesKOREA!” and then gave a short interview with Radio Boston of WBUR (Boston’s NPR station), who was broadcasting the talks live.

Stream and download the Radio Boston interview here. I go on at around at around the 43:25 mark (it’s easier to skip to if you download the file).

  • Hey Franny. 🙂 This is pretty amazing stuff. I’m from Manila and the KPOP invasion here is crazy (we also have Face Shop outlets in most of our malls); a friend of mine who is Korean was telling me about how it was growing up in South Korea and how everything that didn’t fit was cut up and thrown out and I thought of him while watching this. 😀 What you’re doing is great!

  • Franny!!!! I learned of you from Phil and Sarah Kay!!! You are incredible. I am your newest fan! I just heard your Pop goes Korea piece and I got goosebumps. I just came back from a year in Korea and you were so right it was crazy. I think the unofficial saying of Seoul is “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.” :). Your references to centuries of eating barley and getting theirs was so deep. Many of my Korean friends explained the history and as a military guy I learned a lot as well from my Korean soldier friends. Anyway, I’m glad I found ya. Hoping to catch you at a show sometime! Great luck as you continue on your journey! Jose
